Sometimes we act as if we as leaders already know our strengths and weaknesses, that
we have no blindspots in our lives, and that we know how to fit neatly together with
as volunteer or staff team. Sometimes things work out by the grace of God. I prefer
to act a bit more proactively. I call this Leadership Assessment.
How can this improve my congregation? We each have a different style of
doing many of the following:
- Making decisions
- Reacting to stress
- Interacting with people
- Dealing with conflict
- Lead teams
And much more.
And this is even before you begin talking about Spiritual Gifts,
Languages of Love and Apology, and
and the shadow-side (aka sinfulness) of our particular personalities.
Leaving all of this to simply happen can lead to some very bad problems.
When ministry flows well, there may not be an issue. However, once an issue arises the
damage to the team and ministry has been done. As with all of life, in ministry
prevention always beats repair every time.
I would be happy to help you select appropriate tools for you and your team, and then
to coach you through using them to improver your ministry.
